Description

Founded in 1874, London Life moved to this location in 1926, later adding another three buildings as the company grew. Enter the original neoclassical structure through iron grilled doors to discover ornate ceilings, stained glass windows, and an exhibit gallery dedicated to the company’s history. This year only, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Doors Open London, our archivist has organized a visit to the fourth floor. You’ll walk down hallways displaying artefacts and enlarged historic photos to visit the famed auditorium where the London Life Troupers rehearsed before taking their show on the road to entertain Allied troops in World War II.
