In its eleventh year, Doors Open London will be themed "Defending a Nation" Commemorating 2012 as the Bicentennial Anniversary of the War of 1812. Doors Open London has become widely recognized as a weekend of communal gathering, celebration and recognition for London’s numerous, significant landmarks. Doors Open London is a two-day event that opens up spaces throughout London, free of charge, for local residents and visitors to engage with.
- Themed: DO London sites and events will be tied to a theme each year.
- Inclusive: DO London holds a broad understanding of what and who represent the diverse city of London. There will be a variety of new spaces and groups featured that are unique to the city, yet unfamiliar to many people.
