Doors Open London is commemorating 200 years of peace and the bicentennial of the War of 1812!
While London was not declared a village until 1826, there were many early settlers and First Nations inhabitants who occupied the region during the War of 1812, most of whom acted as witnesses and active participants. Check out some DO London sites, such as Brick Street Cemetery, Eldon House and Fanshawe Pioneer Village, who tell stories of the War of 1812 and the 200 years of peace since.
