Photography and Imaging

A photo of your site is required for use on the Doors Open London website, and, in some instances, for promotional materials and media photo gallery. Images should be in colour, in JPEG or GIF format, and unreduced in size from the camera or scanner, since they will be used for printed materials as well as web display. If your site participated in DOL 2008, we will use your existing photo unless you wish to provide a new image. All photos should be sent via email to doorsopenlondon@londonheritage.ca immediately after submitting this form.

Doors Open London will not be held responsible for copyright issues associated with images provided by program participants for promotional use. Please do not forward photographs, electronically or otherwise, if ownership is in question.

Doors Open London reserves the right to have unrestricted use of approved photos for general and specific promotional activities. In situations where a third party or photographer must be credited, that credit line must be embedded visually in the image. In order to maintain design standards, Doors Open London will not run credit lines outside of image boundaries.

ID Badges

Doors Open London ID Badges are provided to all your staff and your volunteers working at your site on the weekend.

Doors Open London site banners, ID badges, map guides, and other relevant materials will be available for pick up at the London Heritage Council office. Further information about distribution will be provided later in the year.

Legal Agreement

By virtue of entering into this agreement with Doors Open London, the London Heritage Council, the site owner or tenant identified in Section One of this agreement (the "Participant") agrees:

(a) to open all or some of the building identified in Section One of this agreement to the public on the days and at the times specified in Section Two;

(b) that the Participant has obtained any approvals or consents necessary to allow them to meet their obligations under this agreement.

The parties agree that the Participant may withdraw from the Doors Open London event at any time on or before June 30, 2010 by faxing written notice of the withdrawal addressed to Doors Open London at doorsopenlondon@londonheritage.ca. After that date, the "Participant" may only withdraw with the consent of the London Heritage Council, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld.


By submitting this form, I understand that this application form will be adjudicated by the Doors Open London Review Panel and does not guarantee participation in Doors Open London 2010.

I agree that if the submitted site is accepted to participate in Doors Open London 2010 that the site will have the necessary public liability and property insurance to lawfully participate in this special event.

I agree that if the submitted site is accepted to participate in Doors Open London 2010 that reasonable measures will be taken to ensure the health and safety of members of the public, volunteers and staff throughout the duration of the event.
